TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment resources
Pop Education and Blackwater Projects have joined forces to develop traditional and digital resources for the TAE40122.
Our aim
We aim to provide both a quality product and ongoing service that relieves RTOs, and RTO trainers and assessors, from some of the burden that goes with delivering this important qualification.
Principles that underpin our TAE40122 program design and materials
Now that version 5 of the TAE Training Package has been endorsed, we are working full time on our new product for TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. We are making good progress and are starting to release our products for each module as they become available.
We are producing TAE40122 program materials and support that:
- ‘pass the pub test’—are of genuine value to participants and not just seen as part of a required ‘ticket’
- focus on skills that all trainers and assessors need—we have chosen elective units with this generalist approach in mind
- offer RTOs flexibility and choice
- (of course) help your RTO meet compliance requirements for TAE40122.
What makes us different?
We are validating assessment tools with auditors
We are not first to market, but by validating tools for you, we’re working through challenges, so you don’t have to.
We go through a 2-stage editing process
We do this at every stage of development from the manuals and assessments through to the digital assets and LMS shells.
We provide more than just materials
We provide a simulated RTO with a full intranet including policies and procedures. We provide templates, student files with assessment evidence, training and assessment materials, and assessment result reports for validation.
The setup is simple and guided all the way.
We provide a range of options
We offer full LMS shell options in Canvas or Moodle. Storyboards are available for other platforms. We offer workplace plus online options for assessment.
We provide ongoing support
We continuously update the materials (especially important with changes to SRTOs, AQF and more). We will regularly monitor links in digital assets and distribute updates.

Subject to availability, we can customise to your RTO needs, offering additional electives, custom branded intranet, custom digital assets, assessment re-templating and more. Just ask.

Insofar as they relate to our materials.

Ongoing support
We will support the maintenance of our resources for the life of the training product.
Maintenance includes:
- Regular checking and updates of links to external resources
- Updates of resources in line with changes to the industry
Assets effected by maintenance requirements will be provided to your RTO once they have been updated.
*Please note that products that have been customised by your RTO are not maintained as standard. Options for updates to customised resources will need to be negotiated. Records of updates will be provided to those RTO’s that have customised their resources and will be the responsibility of the RTO to implement these changes.
