Our favourite projects
I loved working with Shauna on the Commonwealth of Learning project where we remotely mentored 3 teams from across Africa in their journey of discovery of elearning and development of their Moodle site. During our weekly mentoring sessions we discussed learning materials and opportunities for embedding activities to support engagement and learning in their LMS. Considering site and technology limitations for each location added additional opportunities for creativity in design. We could really see improvement in knowledge and design at our conclusion. The knowledge that we contributed to providing education and training to improve the livelihoods of individuals in developing countries was incredibly rewarding.

We created the most fantastic asset which demonstrated the journey of a homeless woman in her 50s. It was an animation to be included in the Homelessness Support Skill Set which put the pieces of a jigsaw together with a voiceover of the woman’s conversations with a homeless support worker. As the pieces fell into place her story unfolded from living from her car, to eventually finding employment and accommodation. It stood out to me because we had a budget that allowed for blue sky dreaming. It made my creative juices run wild. Collaboratively we had many ideas and while brainstorming we created a vision for how this would look and identified each of our strengths to bring it together. Seeing the final product made me swell with pride knowing that the learner experience would be significantly enhanced by having this product as an addition to the content.

One of my favourite projects was the enhanced assets we created for DET. We were able to step outside of what we do every day and embrace a more creative way of thinking. Whilst guided by competency standards, we were not bound by them from a compliance sense so we could drill down to the most important key messages for the student in an engaging, interactive and fun way. This project opened us up to the possibilities of what we can create as a team – I loved it and I know the students will love what we created too.

Testimonials
Our relationship with Sarah at Pop Education is a true testament of what a working collaboration is about. Approachable, informative, willing, exuberant and an absolute joy to be around. We invited Sarah to take part in an assessment validation for our eLearning business; a task she willingly accepted and approached with great enthusiasm. Her knowledge of online learning and assessment requirements is current and on trend.
We have also utilised Sarah’s consultancy offering to provide a ground up review of our learning management system. The result, over 15 recommendations outlining an engagement strategy that focuses on simple and effective learner interactions. Sarah has compiled a wealth of knowledge across the learning sector from content, systems, compliance and engagement strategies. We have had an ongoing relationship with Sarah and look forward to working together long into the future.
